- Transition to the Triple Threat: After presenting the target, it's time to bring the glove down to the triple threat position, or your prepitch. It’s from this position that the magic happens.
- Threefold Ability - Receive, Block, Throw: From this position, a catcher can seamlessly:
- Receive: Efficiently and cleanly catch the ball back to the zone.
- Block: Keep balls in front, not allowing any to the backstop.
- Throw: Be ready to launch the ball.
